Day: Over

Today I have been to two lectures, had a group meeting, met with my professor, had a nice long chat with Haley, and drank, oh, probably a liter of black coffee, if not more.

I like my NPO class.

I’m happy about my new assignment group for Equity Valuation. Last semester, I was the only one in my group that was not Chinese. Most of the Chinese in our class – except for one, Sandy, are a very tight-knit group, and it was not the greatest situation. This time, I’m with a Ukranian, a Grecian, and a Chinese person. The Ukranian and Grecian are very driven and ambitious, but also super nice. I will have to push to keep up with them, but it will be good.

Mi professora scares me a little. She’s nice but very Type-A. But she said she would point out a PhD student who is in our class on Monday, who plans to teach the course next semester, who I can ask to tutor me. If I offer to pay him – it won’t be much, but it would be something – hopefully he’ll be willing to help.

Since I was awake all night and ready to go early this morning, I took my time and stopped at the new coffee shop, the one with the dog statue in the door, and got breakfast. A hot roll with haggis and fried egg, and a bowl of black coffee. Yumm.

I talked with Chuck online last night. It was good. I have no wishes for the romantic at this time – but it was nice. After these five months (seems like longer!) he’s still one of the few people I can tell anything to. I’m glad we stayed friends. -I think maybe Hayley would be the other, at this point, that lives in Edinburgh.

Anyway. Now I’ve got at least four hours of reading ahead, in which I’ll stay awake as long as possible before a normal night’s sleep. This weekend will be nice – only one class tomorrow. I’ve agreed to go for drinks with a friend tomorrow night since I couldn’t go tonight, and all of Saturday and Sunday will be reading/homework days.
